My name is Jim McCormick. I am a computer engineer who has worked for HP and then Intel for more than 23 years. (See my Linked In profile.) I am a family man who loves my neighborhood. In fact I have a passion in general for neighborhood-based community. I reluctantly joined my neighborhood HOA board and became president in 2016 because there was a need. I say "reluctantly" because of the time commitment required and because HOA boards can be places of arguments and complaints. However, we have worked hard in our HOA to maintain a good tone and good relationships, and, as a result, our HOA is a very positive place to interact. I have also worked hard on streamlining our processes, improving our tools, increasing the quality of our services, and reducing the time commitment required of board members. In 2019 I went to half time at my Intel job in part to start exploring the possibility of taking what I have learned as an HOA president and developing a product that could help many self-run HOAs. As of April of this year (2020) I will no longer be working at Intel, and I intend to work full time on starting this business.
I am very excited about this opportunity because it connects many of my passions and skills. I enjoy and have a lot of experience doing creative development to solve problems and improve efficiency. I'm excited about getting a chance to do what I think is right and best for my customers. I am excited about the opportunity to help neighborhoods. I hope to get the opportunity effectively to serve you and your neighborhood.
